EBBY
Ebony (prefers to be known as Ebby) Aisha age 23. Ebby joined our family at the age of 29 days in January of 1999 weighing only 4.5lbs. Ebby is a a graduate from Upper Darby High School in the Life Skills program. Ebby loves to bake and is proprietor of her own little baking business, Ebby’s Edibles. Through baking Ebby hopes to raise enough money to go to Disney World. Ebby is a savant when it comes to dates and details. She know the birthdates of everyone she meets and of many celebrities. She has a photographic memory that can recall events in great detail no matter how distant in her past. Ebby also sings in chorus at school and takes pride in eating healthy and exercising. In one year Ebby, through determination and commitment to a healthy life style, lost over 50 Lbs. Ebby also loves carnivals. Ebby is proud to be an employee at Villanova University as a cafeteria worker. |
SALINNA
Salinna Mary is 23 years old. Salinna was age two when placed as a foster child with us in 2001. Salinna is a happy young woman despite her diagnosis of cerebral palsy and seizure disorder. Salinna graduated, in June, from George Crothers’s School in Swarthmore, PA. She takes delight in all the activity around her at home. She loves music and will join in the singing whenever the opportunity presents itself. She loves the Phillies and their 2018 motto, “Be Bold!”. |
ROSEY
Rosalina Therese aka Rosey. Rosey, 13 years of age. Rosey was placed with us via a miracle at the age of 2 days in May of 2009. She is an utterly delightful kid and has overcome many challenges. Rosey was expected to be blind and never walk. She has certainly exceeded expectations. Rosey is amazingly loving and thoughtful. Her favorite activities are art, dancing, swimming, riding her bike, playing games and watching videos on the I-pad. Her room is delightful with starlight, an aroma therapy diffuser, unicorn bedspread, a Blessed Mother candle and holy water font, a Hello Kitty projection night light and numerous stuffed animal friends. Rosey is staring 7th grade at Drexel Hill Middle School in September. |
ALEX Alexander Rivera, age 12 years. Alex was 6 months old when he was placed with us. Alex was diagnosed as an infant with hypo plastic left heart syndrome. He has undergone three open heart surgeries to address this defect. Alex is a lively boy who loves construction vehicles, playing X-Box games, has an inordinate fondness for geese. Alex loves to help with yardwork and pretend he is a landscaper or construction worker. He plays baseball along with his sister Rosey on the Challenger league Phillies in Drexel Hill. Alex is in fifth grade life skills program at Hillcrest Elementary School, Drexel Hilll in the Upper Darby School District. |
