What We Do

Care for Children
Epiphany House provides both a permanent and temporary home to children with special needs through adoption, foster, as well as long and short term respite care. We know first-hand how successful a relationship with a special needs child can be. As foster and adoptive parents to children with disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy to autism, we particularly recognize the importance and value of resources that support families with special needs children.

Community Outreach
Epiphany House is organizing a robust community response on behalf of children in the Philadelphia region. In 2008, we aim to expand our direct care capacity and to recruit families, who are able and willing to provide loving and stable homes to waiting children. Through partnerships with local agencies, congregations, and community organizations, we will develop, promote and support activities and programs that benefit at risk children. In addition, we will make it a special aim of our organization to recognize, honor and celebrate families, in our communities, that are committed to the care of waiting children.

Raise Awareness
Because of its dedication to helping children, Epiphany House believes it is important to get the word out about legislation related to the needs of children and their families. Through a monthly newsletter and website, Epiphany House attempts to raise public awareness about issues affecting families and children. Epiphany House uses its website, links and email lists to provide opportunities for members of the community to be active in legislation affecting individuals and families with special needs.
