A Future for Kids:

Salinna

Recently Epiphany House presented a vision about creating a network of adoptive homes or communities for children. We are basing this vision on the belief that in God’s eyes caring for the orphan is fundamental to our faith. (James 1:27). To launch this vision Epiphany House is working with local and regional churches to develop a strong grass roots foster/adoptive ministry. In creating this network of churches committed to the care of orphans and displaced children, we will build an affiliation of adoptive homes to assure forever families to kids with special needs.

Too often children, because of age, medical or emotional challenges or disabilities never find the permanency and stability that a loving family provides. Epiphany House believes an affiliation of communities specifically dedicated to be foster and adoptive families will significantly impact and reduce the numbers of waiting children. The Epiphany House homes are also intended to be places of welcome and support for families and friends, volunteers, neighbors, churches and other social service groups. We anticipate that you will join us in this new venture with your insights, prayers, volunteering and financial support. Join us in providing kids a forever-family future.

Introducing “The Epiphany House Network:”

Epiphany House, through its recruitment, outreach, counseling and support efforts is building a network of foster/adoptive families. These are families that have, in some manner, been supported by Epiphany House in their commitment to foster/adoptive care.  With this newsletter we introduce “In the Epiphany House Network” as a feature to introduce and provide regular updates about our families and their children on our website. In addition to presenting the impact that Epiphany House is making, we hope this feature will also plant seeds of inspiration to others who may consider becoming foster/adoptive families

In this edition, we pleased to introduce Nicholas Quigley whose adoption was completed last year. His adoptive mom, Kathryn Quigley, is a single parent and journalism professor. She keeps a wonderful blog about her son.

Nicholas Quigley: AKA “Little dude”

Salinna

“The Little Dude mixes up his "V" sounds and his "W" sounds. He likes to say "Go away!" a lot. But it comes out "Go 'vey!"
As in: "Go 'vey, shoes!" "Go 'vey, medicine!" "Go 'vey, milk!" It is like living with Frau Blucher from Young Frankenstein.” (From Nicholas’s blogspot)

Other Epiphany House Update

Congrats to board members Kevin and Regina Raiford-Babcock:

James "Jay Jay" Babcock's adoption was finalized on March 31st. His parents Kevin Babcock and Regina Raiford Babcock are overjoyed by the new addition to the family. His big brother Quincy Babcock is happy as long as he does not have to share his toys.

It's hard to be religious when certain people are never incinerated by bolts of lightning.
