2nd – All souls day. Last night Ebony urges daddy to bring Milkshake, our bunny, inside. "Oh he's fine outside; it's warm out." At 3:30 AM daddy wakes to thunder and sound of teeming rain. Oh, the bunny!

3rd – Kevin watches the movie "Scarface." Salinna laughs every time someone in the movie gets shot. That made for a whole lot of laughing. For Salinna, who is legally blind and cognitively a baby, it's apparently a very "stimulating" film.

4th – Kathie Suky and Ebony go with Lauren and Corky to Disney on Ice in Baltimore. Lauren and Corky's treat. Salinna and Dexter go to Dexter's cousin's wedding in Annapolis. Salinna would be happy to learn the groom's favorite movie is "The Godfather."

7th – Josh Taylor's last day with us. He is moving back with his dad. A pizza send off for him at dinner. He gets a football signed by everyone in family.

8th – Heavy rains at night. Suky and Daddy paddle through puddles on way to the bus stop. Verification letters needed for insurance company to renew Salinna's home nursing care. Happy Democrats everywhere you turn.

Orion9th – Family outing to WXPN Kids' Corner Star party in Swarthmore.

Back at home Sonty, Daniel and Suky move Lucy to her new aquarium.

11th – Sonty sings at Philadelphia Kixx game. Suky earns Pizzas for meeting her reading log goal.

13th – Ebony becomes fascinated with the word and concept of "person". It makes her laugh hysterically. She says someone's name and asks if he or she is a person, then laughs. Go figure. "Is Scarface a person?"

scarface
hahahahaha.

Daniel and Sonty into web game Rune Scape. Suky has become a Penguin Club fanatic.

lifeguard14th – Ebony causes a bit of a scare at our local YMCA pool. While treading water in the deep water she called for help. She looked fine to her dad but the life guard plunged into the rescue. It turns out the help Ebony wanted was assistance putting on the bracelet that indicates she had passed her deep water swim test.

16th – At her school book fair, Suky buys a book for Sonty with her last two dollars. She compares herself to the widow in the gospel story of the widow's mite. The story where Jesus commends the donation of the widow who placed her last two pennies in the Temple treasury because, unlike the rich who gave from their abundance, the widow gave all she had to live on.

17th – Dexter and Daniel attend The Heart Gallery 2006 celebration at University of the Arts.

Ferriswheel19th – Suky, the widow's mite girl, asks, " If we won a billion dollars, could I have a hundred dollars to go to a carnival?"

Dad replies, "only if you bring along a kid who never gets to go to carnivals."

21st – Josh calls.

Kathie goes to baby sit baby Anna in MD. and gets stuck in very bad traffic jam on return. In all seriousness, Ebony asks, "Why can't we sit on baby Anna?"

Sounds like a Shel Silverstein kind of thinking. Ebony, Baby sitting does't mean sitting on the baby.

23rd – Thanksgiving. Twenty four here for dinner. Uncle Bernie fries the turkeys. He makes a few racy Rachel Ray comments.

Thanksgiving

24th – Corky, Lauren and dad take kids to the local "Big L" diner. Cashier runs credit card for $554.80 instead of the actual $54.80 bill.

25th – Ebony's favorite song is "Smack That." Just don't smack that baby, Ebony

26th – Daniel's 14th birthday, Nora's 3rd. birthday, baby Anna's baptism day.

28th – Ebony asks, "We can't tickle feet in Christ Church?" That's right Ebony and we can't sit on babies either.
